It is with great sadness to report that we lost a giant member of our Mössbauer community this summer. Dr. Leopold May, Professor Emeritus at Catholic University, passed away on June 14, 2012. You may remember him for his dedication to the history of Chemistry, his monthly contributions of "Anniversaries in Chemistry" to the Capital Chemist and his Mössbauer Spectroscopy History. He will be greatly missed.
