Prof. Virender K. Sharma from Florida Institute of Technology, USA, was invited to visit MEDC/DICP on 8^th June, 2013. During his visit, he presented a lecture with the title "Ferrites & Ferrates as Environmental Friendly Materials in Photocatalytic Remediation and Energy Processes" at the laboratory of catalysis & new materials for aerospace. This lecture was presided over by Prof. Tao Zhang.

Prof. Sharma has been working on the study of ferrites & ferrates properties as well as their applications for a long time. He had published more than two hundred papers, along with a few books. He is world-famous on environmental science and the applications of Mössbauer spectroscopy.
