Workshop on the Applications of Emission Mössbauer Spectroscopy (WEMS2015);March, 4-6, 2015;Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce that the Workshop on the Applications of Emission Mössbauer Spectroscopy (WEMS2015) will be held on March, 4-6, 2015 at Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria.

The workshop is organized by members of the “Mössbauer collaboration at ISOLDE/CERN”. This group has for many years applied implantation short lived radioactive parent isotopes produced at the large-scale facility of ISOLDE at CERN for emission Mössbauer spectroscopy mostly in the field of material sciences.

The aim of the workshop is to summarize the main findings of the collaboration in recent years, with the main objective to bring together groups potentially interested in making use of emission Mössbauer spectroscopy for studies in material sciences and/or biophysics. There will be a focus dedicated on introducing the possibilities available at ISOLDE/CERN to worldwide groups already using emission Mössbauer spectroscopy in different researchfields.

Within the next decade, ISOLDE will undergo a major upgrade (the HIE-ISOLDE), which is expected to result in higher intensity beams and more flexibility, making available new possibilities of applying emission Mössbauer spectroscopy.

Registration for the workshop is free, but Pls. inform the local organizer (Alberta Bonanni (Alberta.Bonanni@jku.at)) on your participation for logistic reasons. If you have any question or want to submit a presentation, please contact Dr. Haraldur P. Gunnlaugsson (haraldur.p.gunnlaugsson@cern.ch).

Additional information may be found on the workshop website: https://indico.cern.ch/e/WEMS2015

Sincerely,
The WEMS2015 organizing Committee:
