Pre-& Post-conference Tours

Pre-conference and post-conference tours will be specially arranged for conference participants to visit many well-known historic sites, scenic areas and recent developments in many cities in China. Single (S) accommodation is slightly higher than double (D) occupancy. Participants should self-arrange and pay for their own transportation to Shanghai or Guilin before the tour begins.

Aug. 31 Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the hotel (four star).

Sightseeing: the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square. Fly to Dalian in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Dalian, transfer to the Hotel booked for the Conference and the tour ends.

Sightseeing: Jade Buddha Temple and French Concession.

Sept. 9 Sightseeing in Xian: the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Shanxi Provincial Museum. In the early afternoon fly to Dunhuang. Sightseeing in Dunhuang: Sand Dune and Crescent Springs Hills. Stay in one 4-star hotel.
Sept. 10

Sightseeing in Dunhuang: Mogao Grottoes.

Sept. 11 Sightseeing in Dunhuang: Thousands Buddha Caves and Dunhuang Museum,
Sept. 12 After breakfast, the tour ends.
CITS can help with air-tickets booking to Beijing, Shanghai or other cities to connect your exit fight, but airfares are at your own expenses.  
Notes for the tours:
The following services will be offered and included:
  • For the first day of pre-tours in the starting city, the tour company will only pick-up participants from airport to hotel and room are covered by the tour package.
  • Accommodations with buffet breakfasts at 4-star hotels.
  • Daily lunches and dinners at downtown restaurants in each city.
  • Sightseeing by air-conditioned coach with an English-speaking city guide in each city.
  • An English-speaking domestic package guide will be an extra only for groups of more than 10 pax.
  • Inter-city transportation.
  • Entrance tickets to local sites as specified in each above programme.
  • All exit tickets are to be self-arranged.
